TEPSA's Secretariat General is composed of:

Jean-Paul Jacqué
Secretary General
Overall coordination of TEPSA, representation

Professor at the College of Europe since 1988. Director, Legal Service of the Council of the European Union. Doctorate in Law. Professor at the Law and Political Science Faculty, Strasbourg (1978); Visiting Professor at the Universities of Barcelona, Louvain, Lisbon, Madrid, Santiago du Chili. Director of the Institut des Hautes Etudes Européennes, Strasbourg (1974-1977); Dean of the Law and Political Science Faculty, Strasbourg (1977-1981); President of the University Robert Schuman, Strasbourg (1983-1990); Secretary-General of the International Institute for Human Rights – René Cassin Foundation (1990-1992). Author of books and articles on Administrative Law and Administration, International Law, European Law. 


Mirte van den Berge
Executive Director
Europe for citizens, EP Briefings, TEPSA brief

Mirte van den Berge holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Leiden University, where she specialised in International Relations and European Integration. Before joining TEPSA she has worked at the European Studies Programme of the Netherlands Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael’. At Clingendael she has contributed to research and consultancy projects and organised training courses on the EU for civil servants from EU member states and accession countries, as well as international seminars and conferences aimed at policy-makers and academics.

Her areas of interest include EU institution; the national coordination of EU decision-making processes; governance and better regulation; and justice and home affairs policies.

Laura Ventura

Research Assistant

 

As TEPSA’s new research assistant, Laura Ventura will be participating in the project management of various TEPSA activities (roundtable conferences, guest lectures, pre-presidency conferences etc..). She will be involved in TEPSA research projects and briefings on human rights and democracy while working closely with the members institutes, in order to promote visibility in Brussels and ensure relevant contacts with policy-makers.

 

Holding a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Catholic University of Louvain, Laura has been working in Brussels for 3 years in different public membership organisations like North East England Office in Brussels, QeC-ERAN and has lately finished an internship at the European Commission, DG EMPL.
